課程概述

This course is designed to enhance students’ listening and reading skills. The format of the class is a blended learning format, which means partly f2f and part(l)y online learning, both at home and in the classroom.

The students will use a newly designed IT program to work on their reading and listening skills. In each week one topic will be introduced and tackled with video clips and reading material.

The instructor offers each week three listening clip on an easy, intermediate and difficult level, as well as three reading texts on three different levels: popular text, popular science text and scientific/academic text.

The instructor will introduce different approaches to learning and encourages the students to take on the responsibility for their language learning.

5. hopefully change and broaden your perception of the world.
 
課程要求
 1. Students must have access to a personal computer and the internet.
2. Students must be motivated to work with computers and be open to new teaching/learning experiences.
3. Students must be motivated to improve since the instructor does not bring a whip.

The homepage with the teaching material to work on and to download will be introduced in the first week. No need to bring anything but you! 
參考書目
 Course readings and materials will be provided by the instructor on the homepage of the course. Students need to have access to a computer and to the internet.

In addition, students will need one (College-level) English dictionary (paper or electronic), as well as one notebook for writing.
